Sable lived in Compton with her grandmother. She dreamed of joining the Air Force but flunked a math test. She loved to write poems.
In 2013 she told her grandmother that she was in prostitution, she was pimped out by her boyfriend. She disappeared in 2014.
Sable was murdered by registered sex offenders who wore GPS-trackers, Steven Dean Gordan, a serial killer, and Franc Cano. She could be identified as their fifth murder victim in 2017 after the contiued efforts of Detective Julissa Trapp to identify her.
Asked why they chose that fifth woman, Gordon told Trapp that Cano had a “fascination” with black girls.
