✝️ Ting Fang, age 25 – January 1 2015, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia 🇦🇺💔
Ting lived in Sydney. The Police said she had been in Adelaide for three or four days to earn money in prostitution, meaning there was a lot of DNA at the crime scene.
Ting was found deceased in her hotel room with her neck slashed open. She was murdered with a small blade commonly used for window cleaning. The death was discovered after water flooded from the hotel room into a corridor and a room on the floor below.
The court heard that „there was an extremely serious injury to (Ms Fang´s) neck, both her (internal and external) jugular veins were cut“
A fingerprint of john Chungaung Piao, age 27, was found on the alleged murder weapon. Piao, a chinese national that had been living in Australia for four years, at that time was married with a eight-month-old-son. Piao pleaded not guilty.
Piao in 2017 lost a bid to have his conviction overturned. He will continue to serve his minimum 25-year jail sentence.
