✝️ Natividad Rodriguez Romero, age 28 – August 13 1969, Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸 💔

Natividad was born in Siles (Jaén).
She was widow of a sergeant of African-American origin, surnamed Payne, belonging to the US forces, who died in the Vietnam War. She pretended to be a U.S. citizen. She used false documentation and a gringo accent to increase the men’s interest.

She used to change the color of her hair frequently. Sometimes she wore her hair as a blonde, sometimes as a striking redhead, sometimes as a brunette. If the police showed up to identify her, when they saw that she was a foreigner, they treated her better than the others and let her go”.

She abused whiskey and her sexual inclinations were towards women. “The only thing that interests me about men is their money,” she would say without any qualms.
One night when someone made a critical remark about her late husband, she smashed a bottle over his head. She had a criminal record for having tried to drug a minor. She spent eight months in the Ventas prison.

When she was found dead, she had bruises and multiple scratches. Her bruised and deformed face showed that she had been savagely beaten. The victim’s pants were pulled down to her ankles and the sweater around her neck, which concealed blood marks coagulated under her chin.
In the bag there was no document that would allow his identification. Only one clue, inside the mouth: a gold medal with the inscription Luci, 13-12-1962.

„From the start, the case was covered up by blaming the murder on Gregorio Ávila Sotoca, „el Goyo“, a pimp given to mistreating women.
After this thug was acquitted of the authorship of the crime, suspicions pointed to some black soldier from the American base in Torrejón de Ardoz.
But the regime decided to draw a thick veil to avoid complications at a diplomatic level. Those were years of excellent relations with Washington.“
The police still maintain that the man was the murderer, but the courts have ruled otherwise. The suspicions point to the fact that this was about avoiding friction with the United States government.

The case remains unsolved.
