Mary grew up in a foster family from day one until she was four years old and became atopted. She grew up in Massachussetts and moved to Cranston in 2010.
Mary worked at Foxy Lady, an „adult entertainment club“ in Providence, but had not worked there recently prior to her death.
She was murdered by James A. Adams, 34., who had contacted her via backpage for sexual services. Her body was found in a garage behind an old sofa.
Adams was a convicted rapist. At the time of the murder he was on probation for a 2007 first-degree sexual assault conviction, for which he served 7 years in prison, with 13 years suspended. On the day he killed Mary, he sexually assaulted another prostituted women in his garage.
Adams was convicted to a livelong prison sentence.
