✝️ Sue Luna, age 23 – May 26 1982, Anchorage, Alaska, USA 🇺🇸 💔

Sue had arrived in Anchorage in May of 1982 for work. She had family in the area and had hoped to spend a few weeks making money while her mother-in-law cared for her daughter.

Sue met serial killer Robert Hansen („The Butcher Baker“) at the Good Times bar, one of many strip bars and topless clubs in downtown Anchorage.
Sue had agreed to meet him at Alice’s 210, she was to be paid $300 for an hour of sex.

On May 30, Roberta Moorehead reported to Officer Russell that her sister Sue was missing. She told him that she had arranged to pick up Sue at her apartment at the Sleeping Lady Apartments on May 27, 1982, and spend the weekend with her, but when Moorehead went to the apartment, her sister was not there, and Moorehead was informed by her sister’s roommate that she had not been seen since May 26th.

Sue was abducted and killed before being buried in the Knik River, where she wasn’t discovered until April 24, 1984.
According to Hansen, he had her flee into the forest while “hunting” her like an animal while she was stripped naked. Sue had been shot to death.

Roberta posted flyers and ads offering a reward. Hansen anonymously called the reward tipline and said Sue and a Black man had left for Fairbanks.
He asked to meet Roberta, but she declined. Hansen was likely trying to gather information about the search, and to throw people off the trail.

Hansen murdered at least seventeen women and was sentenced to 461 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
Hansen died Aug. 21 2014 in Anchorage. He was 75.
