Marion, who grew up in New Zealand, was very good in school and wanted to become a nurse, but got addicted to heroin during her training.
She moved to Sydney, where some of her family lived. She was prostituted in Kings Cross to support her and her boyfriends heroin addiction. On one occasion, she was picked up by two men who forced her to take LSD and raped her. When she reported the matter to the police, she was charged with drug offences.
In January 1980 she stayed with her brother in Cammeray. She left him a note saying that she would be gone for a few days, but never returned.
Police suggested that there may be a link between Marion`s disappearance and that of model Linda Davie and nurse Mary Wallace around the same time.
