Tammy checked into a room at Admiral Inn, together with her husband, for prostitution purposes.
Tammy was strangled to death with a yellow nylon rope by her client Terry Moore. He had contacted her via an online escort advertisement. She died of „external neck compression“. Moore`s body was discovered hanging in a tree a few days after the murder in a wooden area behind a nearby school parking lot (École secondaire Georges-P.-Vanier, Macklin Street). He had committed suicide.
The motive for the murder is unclear. Police stated that Moore brought the rope with him tot he hotel, had previously attempted suicide and was abusing cocaine.
