Caroline, who was addicted to drugs, was last seen getting into a white van at 8th and Chew Streets, Allentown.
The Montgomery County Coroner Halbert E. Fillinger performed an autopsy on the victim. Fillinger ruled the cause of death as strangulation; and the manner of death a homicide. She was murdered by serial killer James D. Gunning, age 28.
